Picka ("we", "us", "our") is a free group-scheduling tool. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, how we handle it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
| What | When & why |
|---|---|
| Organiser name and email address | When you create an event, so we can send you a private management link and notify you of responses. Your email is stored privately and is never shown on public event or voting pages. |
| Event details (title, description, proposed dates, times, locations) | To create and display your event to the people you invite. |
| Participant name and (optional) email | When someone responds to an event, so the organiser knows who responded and (if an email is given) we can send the confirmed date for their calendar. |
| Invitee email lists | If an organiser adds invitee emails, so we can send invitations and reminders. |
| Account information | If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google to identify your account. |
| Usage analytics | Only if you accept analytics cookies — see "Cookies and analytics" below. |

Picka uses essential local storage to keep you signed in and to remember your event responses on your device. We use Google Analytics only if you accept it via our cookie banner; until you accept, no analytics cookies are set. You can change your choice any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.
We keep event data for as long as the event exists so organisers and participants can refer back to it. You can ask us to delete an event and its associated data at any time (see "Your rights").
Under the APPs you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you. To make a request, or to delete an event you created or responded to, contact us at privacy@picka.au. We will respond within a reasonable time.

We use industry-standard measures (encrypted connections, access-controlled databases, and email addresses stored privately rather than on public pages) to protect your information. No online service can be completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to safeguard your data.
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the latest version.
